Dark circles are not one condition. Pigmentation, thin skin, visible vessels, allergy-related rubbing, tear trough hollows and under-eye bags can each create a dark or tired appearance.
Under-eye treatment starts by identifying the dominant cause. Options may include skincare, sun protection, pigment treatment, gentle peels, selected energy-based procedures, skin-quality treatment or conservative filler for a true hollow.
The under-eye is examined in natural light and from different angles. Medical history, allergies, rubbing, sleep and previous filler are reviewed. Treatment is then staged conservatively because eyelid skin is thin and sensitive.
Most adults can be assessed, although not everyone needs a procedure. Active dermatitis, prominent swelling, pregnancy or an underlying health issue may require medical management or delayed treatment.
A consultation is important because results, session numbers, downtime and suitability vary. Active infection, pregnancy, certain medicines, a tendency to form keloids, or an underlying medical condition may change the recommended plan.
Dr. Manisha's Revive Clinic provides individualized aesthetic and hair-care consultations near Chembur, Tilak Nagar, Kurla and Ghatkopar. The treatment plan is selected after examining the concern, skin or scalp condition, medical history and realistic goals. Where appropriate, this service may be combined with under-eye fillers or pigmentation treatment.
Common contributors include genetics, pigmentation, thin skin, visible vessels, rubbing, hollowness and shadow from under-eye bags.
Usually not when several causes overlap. A combined and staged plan is often more realistic than a single procedure.
